PROMISE MADE: Protect the rights and freedoms of Arlingtonians through a criminal justice system built on equal justice for all.

PROMISE KEPT:

  • Fought to establish the Police Practices Review Group and supports its conclusions and recommendations, including the creation of a Civilian Review Board with subpoena power.

  • Championed Arlington’s Restorative Justice Initiative.

  • Advocates for the review and revision of the Arlington County Police Department’s immigration policy and the improvement of protections against federal immigration enforcement and deportations.


KEY VOTES

  • Voted to fund the Body Worn Cameras Program ($500K) and the requisite personnel and infrastructure to effectively implement it.

  • Voted to accept theRestorative Arlington Strategic Plan, which provides a framework for the County to adopt restorative justice practices in our public schools, legal system, and community settings.
